Many people have wondered through the years about how those in Washington make the long-term decisions they make about policies that involve millions and millions of us. It takes a lot of research and debate, for sure, but it also takes an astronomical amount of number crunching. And to help with this process, legislators and congressional staffers tend to use computer simulation tools like one developed by the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
