Warning: Social Security fraud scheme

We carried a warning about this on our website last week, but it bears repeating: There’s a new fraud scheme being perpetrated on unsuspecting seniors.  It takes the form of a phone call from someone impersonating a Social Security employee requesting confirmation of personal data, in order to obtain enough information to access your Social Security account for their own benefit.  This article by Edward Baig appears in USA Today and explains more detail about this scheme and what you should do if contacted.  Click here to read more.
