The Other Side of the Retirement Savings Issue

In a Harvard Business Review post by Teresa Ghilarducci and Tony James, the lack of savings for retirement is seen as being on “The Road to the Retirement Crisis.” In contrast to the position taken by Forbes contributor and resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute Andrew Biggs (see today’s Headlines Post), this lack of accumulated wealth is predicted to lead the U;S. to “rates of elder poverty unseen since the Great Depression; in fact, one study shows that more than one in three retiring Americans will find themselves in or near poverty in the next 10 years,” according to Ghilarducci and James.
