This Social Security Perk Starts to Drop
Patience pays when it comes to Social Security, but it will pay just a bit less starting in 2021. As Dan Caplinger explains in this piece, 2020 is the last year of full retirement at age 66. Full retirement climbs by two months each year starting in 2021 until it reaches age 67. That will mean slightly less of a increased payout for waiting past age 62 to claim monthly checks.
