Katie Brockman advises three things that everyone can and should do now regarding Social Security, even though benefits cannot begin until age 62 at the earliest. First, figure out your full retirement age, which is determined by birth year. Of course there are lots of options on choosing when to start benefits. Delaying until age 70 guarantees the max benefit for life. Second, estimate monthly benefits by creating an on-line account. Third, determine which benefit to claim.
