Seniors who are collecting Social Security and remarry may see impacts to their payments. If you are also collecting Supplemental Security Income the addition of your new spouse’s income may offset that benefit. If you are at least 60 when you remarry you may still be eligible for a survivor benefit from your deceased spouse if it is higher. If you are on disability or divorced that may also impact your benefits.
