Attention Veterans: SSA Provides Extensive Support
Veterans Day is fast approaching, so now’s a good time to refresh your knowledge of the Social Security Administration’s services available to military Veterans and those on active-duty. A public service announcement posted on theportlandbeacon.com provides information on these services and includes a link to the SSA.gov site. Access the post here. The first link provided above connects readers to the full content of the posted article. Like SSA, the AMAC Foundation offers services to Veterans through its Foundation Veteran Outreach Program (FVOP). The AMAC organization has a long-standing history of priority support for the Veteran
community and, with roughly 75% of the families in AMAC’s membership rolls having direct
Veteran connection, and 31% of our more than two million members having served in the armed
forces, this support is evidenced by a common theme of honoring those who defended our
freedoms and our way of life. Learn more about FVOP by accessing the “For Veterans” page on the Foundation’s website, where you’ll find a variety of information on AMAC’s service to Veterans, including a link to an extensive, curated, and searchable database of Veteran-related programs and services across the nation, as well as links to several videos describing FVOP in greater detail. Included in these video links is a recording of a webinar held recently titled “Social Security and Veterans,” addressing many of the questions typically posed by Veterans seeking to interact with SSA.
