Artificial Intelligence (AI) – Be Careful of the Pitfalls - AMAC Foundation

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is all the rage these days, with even the U.S. government getting on the bandwagon to try to harness this new and exciting technology. And it is, indeed, exciting, and a convenient method to do research, especially on complex topics which might otherwise take a lot of personal digging to find out answers to technical questions. But, caution must be exercised to not simply accept the answers that AI might provide. In short, while AI can be very helpful, there is no replacing good old human experience (at least, so far). A case in point is reflected in this AMAC Foundation article, which describes how AI provided an incorrect answer based upon previous Social Security rules, rather than the right answer based on the most current rules for receiving SS benefits.
