In reality, not much is changing, other than the usual items like the cost-of-living adjustment, the taxable maximum, and the parameters associated with the retirement earnings test. A recent post on finance.yahoo.com by Senior Writer Hal Bundrick, CFP recaps the 2027 version of these items. As the post notes, the full retirement age has reached its current limit, so that’s not really changing. What also remains intact, of course, is the 2032 projected benefit cliff–the projection for trust fund insolvency and its potential impact on all Social Security benefit recipients.
