Candidates on Social Security

Many candidates have been silent on the topic of Social Security. Those that have talked about it, though, all have their own proposed solutions that will “fix” the system. Most proposals are aimed at solving the insolvency issue, the prevailing issue with the system today. Social Security is slated to run out of funding in 2033 should no changes be enacted soon. However, this should not be cause to make a hasty decision. The proposed solutions all have their own pros and cons, although the former will always be more publicized by the proponent than the latter. It is left to the voters to research these proposals and decide which one will best serve them and the country.
