The old-timer offered only one – “buy low, sell high.” Facetiously, of course, but there is actually a lot of wisdom in that somewhat humorous response. Those with a retirement nest egg invested in the financial markets today are all too keenly aware that their nest egg has lost substantial value recently. So should you continue to invest anyway? Well, though the financial market is down and currently unsteady, and although it may seem counter-intuitive, continuing to contribute as much as possible to your retirement savings in this down market is, in fact, an excellent strategy according to this CNBC article by Jessica Dickler.
