Gray Divorce and Your Retirement Plans

According to data from the National Center for Health Statistics and the U.S. Census Bureau, adults ages 50 and up, the divorce rate has roughly doubled since the 1990’s.  And for those ages 65 and older, the divorce rate has roughly tripled since 1990.  Gray divorce potentially endangers retirement for both parties since they may be living on half the income they’d expected to have leaving the individual emotionally and financially drained.  Here are some points to remember that apply to all divorces.
