More on Social Security Myths and Misunderstandings

In the Social Security public seminars we do here at the AMAC Foundation Social Security Advisory Service, we spend a segment talking about the folklore that typically surrounds the program. You know, the urban myths that just won’t go away, like “the program is going bankrupt because the politicians stole the money” or “you’ll never get back what you paid in” and so on. It’s an important and enlightening subject, and one that we spend quite a bit of time discussing with our constituents.
