Most Remaining Stimulus Payments To Be Made This Week

In the most recent round of Federal Economic Recovery or “stimulus” payments, many lower-income beneficiaries were left waiting for their money, even while payments were made to millions of others. Predominantly, those waiting were receiving either Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits or Supplemental Security Income (SSI), or they were low-income recipients of SS retirement benefits who do not need to file an income tax return. In a very welcome announcement, the IRS has informed us that all Social Security recipients who have not yet received their stimulus payment will receive that payment this week.
