New Social Security Rule for SS Online Account access

Social Security has implemented a new rule requiring those who have an online personal account at SSA.GOV to be able to receive text messages to a cell phone.  This is part of a new account security feature where account owners will receive an authentication code via text message which can then be used as part of the My Social Security account log in process, to prevent unauthorized access to personal data.  Problem is, not all seniors with an online SSA account have a cell phone or use texting.  To read more, click here
