Nobody is Saving for Retirement

A new survey released by GOBankingRates shows that there is a terrifying trend among all generations that the vast majority of people are not adequately saving towards retirement. Over half of those surveyed have less than $10,000 in retirement savings. Only 13% have $300,000 or more. This survey also showed that Millennials are behind the curve for retirement savings even historically for their age group. This is being attributed to the rising trend of student loans in recent years rendering young adults unable to save a meaningful amount of money until those debts are paid off. This puts them at an instant disadvantage when planning for their future. For more information on this topic, visit this article with ACA International.
