Opinion: Social Security is being squandered
In this thoughtful Newsmax article by Dr. Ada Fisher, the author laments that the Social Security program has, over the years, strayed from its original intent as a backup retirement plan for aging workers, to become largesse for those who did not contribute. Though somewhat off the mark on several points about funding and usage, the article is nonetheless entertaining and informative, reaching a conclusion that socialist spending of other people’s money will ultimately result in financial ruin.
