Rest Assured – Social Security Won’t Go Bankrupt

Much information, often inaccurate, flutters around the internet and social media daily about Social Security, both it’s history and it’s future. Young adults, in particular, are skeptical that Social Security will even be there for them when they retire and, thus, they resent paying into the program via payroll taxes. The fact is, young workers have felt the same way for many decades, probably from Social Security’s beginnings in the late 1930s. Another fact is that Social Security cannot and will not go bankrupt as long as there are Americans working and paying FICA tax.
