Eigibility for Social Security benefits depends mostly on one’s work history and the number of work credits one has earned. But what if you’ve not help a job outside of the home and therefore have not been able to compile the requisite credits? Social Security has provisions to address this, basically via its spousal benefits provisions and its widows/widowers provisions.
