SSA issues public warning about scammers

In a public service announcement, the Social Security Administration (SSA) issued a warning to all Americans about criminals calling seniors and posing as Social Security representatives in an effort to defraud them. Sometimes these scammers are even “spoofing” the number which appears on your caller ID to make it appear as though the call is actually from Social Security. As always, the SSA cautions everyone to be vigilant and never reveal personal information over the phone or the internet, especially your Social Security number, bank account information, date of birth, or anything else. This story by Vanessa Wojtusiak appearing at News 8 wtnh.com (CT) explains the details of the SSA’s warning, including how to report any fraudulent calls received. Click here to read more.

  1. I’m concerned with the new Democrat platform, “Medicare for all.” Combine that with their push for open borders–and giving the hordes of newcomers all benefits possible–I’m thinking they will break our Medicare system, as well as our Social Security program.

    • Donna,
I have forwarded your concerns to AMAC’s political division. As we are SS Advisors and not involved politically. Someone will get back to you via the email address that you provided.
