SSDI Building up Debt

One of the main problems facing Social Security Disability is in its own inefficiency in the way it is managed. Most of the inefficiency is in the overhead of processing paperwork. In a world where most applications are electronic and most things are conducted through email or over a website, the disability division still does much of its work through paper, either through the mail or through fax. This means that it is very difficult to automate processes that are much better suited to computers, every physical piece of paper has to be read and sorted by a worker in an administration that is already understaffed.
