What is the Most Popular Age to Claim Social Security?

How much your Social Security benefit will be is determined by a complex formula which uses your lifetime earnings history, your year of birth, and the age at which you claim. And, unfortunately,  most individuals have surprisingly little idea of how to decide which is the best age to claim. For many, simply becoming eligible at age 62 seems like the right time to collect, while for others waiting until their full retirement age (between 66 and 67), or even beyond, is their choice.
