What to do if you’re a victim of ID fraud

According to Javelin Strategy and Research, about 16.7 million consumers were victims of ID fraud in 2017. For those individuals who were notified they were a victim of a security breach in 2017, one in five ended up being an actual victim of ID fraud. Javelin also is stating that it is possible that a sizable number of stolen Social Security numbers have not yet been dumped on the dark web.
