Who is Affected by the New Budget Deal
There has been a lot of talk going around recently on how the new budget deal passed through congress affects those planning to retire soon. These changes, however, do not affect everybody; some are grandfathered in under the old plan. The general rule is, if you have already started your file-and-suspend strategy in retirement, then you are not affected by the new rules. The new system will start April 30, 2016.
