This Year’s Trustee Report

The 2016 Social Security Trustee Report was just released recently and details many important points concerning Social Security and it’s near future. According to the report there is enough money currently in the trust fund as well as coming in to fully fund the program for the next 20 years. This has caused a mix of responses in politicians and citizens calling for action to combat the solvency problem. However, this is not new information, the report basically reiterates what was put out in last year’s report. Even the estimations are identical down to the year they expect to run out of funding and are forced to cut benefits.
