Social Security Employees not Explaining Benefits Correctly

A new report recently released by the Government Accountability Office has revealed that employees of the Social Security Administration are not adequately explaining the full process to applicants. It would seem that in order to fully understand the system, your best bet is to either research the issues for yourself or talk to a third party expert. The conclusion of the report stated “…SSA’s claim process largely provides accurate information and avoids overt financial advice, certain key information is not provided or explained clearly during the claims process.” For more information visit this article by Tom Anderson with CNBC.
