Global Perspectives on Retirement

The recently-released Aegon Center for Longevity and Retirement’s annual retirement readiness survey gives us a glimpse into what future generations believe will be financial plight during their “golden years.” In fact, the study concludes that “that 49% of global respondents and 46% of U.S. respondents believe future generations of retirees will be worse off than current retirees.” Citing “megatrends” that are shaping the realities of retirement life, the report points to the need for new ways of thinking about this phase pf one’s life. Meaghan Kilroy, online reporter writing for P&I Daily, provides some thoughts in this subject, an elaboration on an earlier Social Security Report post.
