Social Security Administration again says “beware of scammers”
For the 4th time this year, the Social Security Administration has found it necessary to issue a warning to the American public about schemes meant to lure you into revealing your Social Security or Medicare information or even trying to directly relieve you of your money. The methods used vary widely, including phone calls by impersonators, robocalls asking you to call back because your account is in trouble, or even TV or radio advertisements promising to help you with a fictitious issue. The problem is disturbingly pervasive and the methods used have become increasingly sophisticated.
