An example of a scam Social Security call
Scammers never take a holiday, and are always hard at work trying to get you to fall for their tactics to relieve you of your money. The latest scam is a robo-call purporting to be from Social Security, threatening to have you arrested if you don’t call them back. Of course, you hopefully know by now that the Social Security Administration doesn’t contact you by phone for account problems; rather they contact you by mail. But although there’s been a fair amount of media warning about this latest wave of scam attempts, listening to an actual unsolicited scam call may help sharpen your senses and help you avoid becoming a victim.
