Another Warning About Social Security Scams
We’ve warned about Social Security scams often on this website, and the problem only seems to be worsening. Social Security’s Inspector General has once again issued a warning to Americans that Social Security scams have increased, so you must be especially vigilant, even if a caller uses a real Social Security representative name or offers a “badge number.” Remember that Social Security will never threaten to suspend your account, or threaten you with arrest, or demand immediate payment, or ask you to submit personal information to them (they already have everything they need).
