Should you claim Social Security early (“early” meaning before your full retirement age)? Well, a majority of beneficiaries do, which may – or may not – be the right decision. Most Advisors will suggest you wait as long as possible to claim your benefits so that you can get the highest amount available. Fact is, there is an 8 year window which begins at age 62 and ends at age 70, during which your benefit will grow for as long as you wait to claim.
