Americans have many concerns about the future of Social Security - 401K Specialist
In response to the recent Social Security Trustee’s report, seven out of 10 respondents to a new PlanGap study doubt that they will receive their promised Social Security benefits. The 2022 Trustees’ report found that without changes, the Old-Age and Survivors Insurance Trust Fund reserves are projected to become depleted in 2034. The survey found over half of the respondents answered they are not confident in the insolvency estimates and believe the Social Security program is in worse shape than indicated in the report. Both political parties cited the lack of confidence in the government’s ability to solve the challenge of funding Social Security without reducing benefits.
