2026 COLA Watch

We’re nearing the announcement of the 2026 Social Security cost-of-living adjustment (COLA), and it appears that the 2.7% range is where it will fall. October 15 is the usual date for an official announcement, but of course, that may shift because the government shutdown has shuffled the deck a bit with respect to staffing in the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
