Senate Finance Committee Schedules Social Security Hearing
Senate Finance Committee Chairman Mike Crapo yesterday announced a scheduled hearing titled “Exploring Process Approaches for Addressing Social Security Solvency” to be held Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 10:0 am in Dirksen Senate Office Building. The session will feature witness remarks from the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget’s (CRFB) Marc Goldwein, Senior Vice President and Senior Policy Director, along with George Mason University’s J. Fish and Lillian F. Smith Chair and Senior Research Strategist, Charles Blahous, Ph.D., along with others.
