Current Candidates and Social Security

The discussion on Social Security has been happening everywhere but where it matters most. The candidates have yet to fully lay out what exactly they support as far as reforms or proposals for the system. Each party has their slate of proposals, and the candidates have touched on the topic a bit, but not nearly enough in view of Social Security’s relative importance. Consider that Baby Boomers are retiring at a greater and greater rate each year and the insolvency deadline is looming for the Social Security trust fund–given these factors, our major party candidates should be seriously addressing it as a topic that impacts the largest voting demographic.
