Final Job Before Retiring

Many people reaching retirement age start to find out that they are not actually prepared for retirement. Ideally, you would be planning for retirement the moment you entered the work force, saving a portion of each paycheck to be used for the sole purpose of insuring a stable retirement. Unfortunately, many people fall in to the trap of putting it off and not worrying about it until the near retirement age. The longer this planning is put off the harder it will be. There is a lot to account for in retirement that may not be inherently obvious at first thought. Over half of Baby Boomers nearing retirement age have not thought about how they will fund themselves in retirement outside of Social Security.
