Rep. Tom Reed: “Chairman Johnson cared deeply about Social Security”
In his opening remarks in the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Social Security Hearing on The Impact of COVID-19 on Social Security and its Beneficiaries, Rep. Tom Reed (R-NY) paused to remember the work of the late Sam Johnson during his leadership of the Subcommittee. Over his 27 years in the House of Representatives, Reed noted, Johnson “ … worked to strengthen Social Security for future generations while also holding the Social Security Administration accountable to provide the service Americans rightfully expect and deserve.” Read Rep.
