Ryan statement on Social Security’s 80th birthday pledges support for strengthening program…
WASHINGTON, DC — House Ways and Means Chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI) issued the following statement on the 80th anniversary of Social Security:
“Millions of seniors rely on Social Security, and it should always be there for them, as it was for my family. Today, the program faces serious challenges, and it’s our duty to make sure people get the help they’ve been promised. That’s why this committee is going to do all we can to strengthen Social Security for this generation and the next.”
