Many companies are starting to experience a large turn over in the form of retiring Baby Boomers. This leaves them with a problem of suddenly losing a large population of their most experienced workers. Companies are beginning to take steps to ensure that they have a smooth transition from a work force dominated by Boomers in to one driven by Millennials. They are achieving this by setting the older generation up to be a sort of mentor to the younger one, offering incentives and flexibility in their jobs to pass on their knowledge and experience.
