Required Minimum Distributions for Boomers

Baby Boomers are quickly reaching the age in which they will have to start receiving Required Minimum Distributions from their retirement plans. This happens on April 1st of the year after the beneficiary reaches the age of 70.5 which is happening to the oldest Baby Boomers now. And this will continue to happen over the course of the next few years. There are very few instances in which one can defer past this age, and these accounts are currently holding trillions of dollars for 77 million Boomers.
