The POTUS and Social Security

Social Security is a very hot topic at the moment and everyone in politics are voicing their opinions on it. This includes the time-honored tradition of the “flip flop.” President Obama has changed his outlook on Social Security since starting his time in office. Not so long ago he advocated lowering benefits by changing the way COLA was calculated. He has since switched his stance and is now in support of expanded benefits. This change was undoubtedly brought about by public outcry backed up by many reports showing just how many Americans rely on their Social Security checks.
