The Social Security Solvency Issue

Most agree that there is a problem in Social Security regarding the solvency issue; however, reports vary on how severe the issue is. The two estimates that hold the most weight come from the Social Security Trustees and the Congressional Budget office. These two reports show that there is indeed a problem and that Social Security is assuredly on a path to insolvency in the near future. The variance between the two is a result of their estimation methods and only lead to a solvency deadline that differs by 5 years.
