The Standard of Living in Retirement

A lot of the discussion surrounding this election season centers around the current standard of living for retirees. Half of Baby Boomers expect their standard of living to decrease significantly once they retire. Many are still recovering from the Great Recession that drained their savings or caused them to downgrade in their jobs. The current average for savings for Baby Boomer households is $147,000.
