Women can close the gender earnings gap

Women of all age groups have substantially less income for retirement than men according to a study by The National Institute on Retirement Security (NIRS). Women tend to have less cumulative time in the workforce, often earning lower pay, resulting in smaller pensions and few opportunities to save money or contribute to their retirement plans. As a consequence, many women are finding themselves unprepared to meet the financial challenges of retirement, but it doesn’t have to be that way.
