With a new year comes changes. The majority of Social Security recipients are now aware of their new monthly benefit; if not, you will soon. The new amount is due to the 2.8 percent cost-of-living adjustment, COLA, along with the hefty increase in Medicare premiums. However, there are also positive changes. One change is that Social Security’s earnings-test limits have increased, which means those individuals who are below their full retirement age and continue to work can make more money than they did in 2025. However, there is one change that many individuals who are still working may not like; what is it?
