There has been a lot of talk on maximizing Social Security benefits, and among the top tips is to wait as long as you can to start claiming payments. This is one of the best things to do if all you’re looking to do is to grow your benefits. However, this should not be the leading decision maker going in to figuring when you should take benefits. One of the most important things to take into account is your overall and expected future health. It makes no sense to wait to take benefits when you would only enjoy the higher paycheck for a short amount of time.
