Forced into Retirement

A recent study found that half of those that were planning to work until the age of 70 were forced in to an earlier retirement due to reasons outside of their control. This is a problem because these retirees were affectively being hit twice financially. They are losing out on their working income as well as no longer growing their Social Security benefits by continuing to work and putting off applying. Unfortunately, the best remedy to this situation is proactively preparing for this possibility of being forced out of work before you are ready to retire.
