Social Security Disability: New Guidelines Eliminate “Treating-Physician” rule

Effective Monday of this week, agency procedures applicable to the review of disability claims will discount the previous mandate for adjudicators to weigh the evidence of disability presented by a claimant’s medical treating sources.
