Your 2018 COLA increase, and how it might look to you

Quite a bit of fanfare surrounded the announcement last month that Social Security recipients would be getting a 2% raise starting in 2018.  Of course any raise is better than none at all, but 2% is pretty low when compared to COLA history.  And because other things like Medicare Part B premiums are likely to go up you may not see much, or any, of that bump to your Social Security income.  This Motley Fool article by Matthew Frankel explains why seniors shouldn’t get too excited about the COLA increase.  Click here to read more.
