2017 COLA Wake Up Call

Social Security beneficiaries will be seeing a 0.3% increase in benefits in 2017. The trend that this continues from the past few years is being seen as a warning by many to start taking retirement planning more seriously. Many Americans have come to rely on Social Security as the primary source of income for their retirement and are finding it near impossible to keep up their standard of living through years of little or no COLA. The looming deadline for insolvency should spur even more people in this line of thinking as well.
